Quailburn Historic Site – near Omarama

After visiting the Clay Cliffs (Post coming soon) near Omarama, we decided to see what was down the ‘no exit’ road, well nothing actually,  some nice countryside then the road ended at a farm gate, oh well worth a look. We went back past the Clay cliffs and took another no exit road, this one…

Curio Bay – Catlins

Located near the southern end of New Zealand’s South Island, Curio Bay is a coastal area best known as the site of a petrified forest some 180 million years old. Curio Bay is one of the major attractions in the Catlins, attracting around 100,000 visitors per year.
