Blackwater School On our way to the Waiuti mining area near Reefton, we came across an old school and were surprised it was open.
Nelson Creek We thought the camp site at Nelson Creek would be a good spot for a couple of days exploring the surrounding area, which it was but we had no idea what an interesting place it is with a great camp site and walks.
When we left the camp at Nelson Creek (see post) the morning was misty with low cloud and drizzle.

LOCK KATRINE We were on our way to Lake Sumner and planning to stay at Lake Taylor for the night.
