We were just heading home along the coast road when we saw a big storm heading our way, so we rushed home, I grabbed my camera and got some photos.

McKee Memorial Scenic Reserve occupies an area of coastal land at the northern end of Ruby Bay. The reserve is approximately 1 km north of Ruby Bay township. A nice camping and picnic area with great view across the bay to Nelson.
If you haven’t been to the Edendale Crank-up and you are at all interested in vintage vehicles and machinery, or just an interesting day out, it’s well worth a look.
We decided to visit one of our favorite places for Easter – Papatowai in the Catlins. The DOC camp was quite busy which we hadn’t expected, the last time we stayed there were only about four other groups staying there. The weather was good, overcast at times but warm enough.
Another trip, this time over the beautiful golden sands of Dunedin’s Southern beaches.
Mt John Observatory – For amazing views of the Mckenzie country and a very interesting place to visit.
While staying in Motueka for a few days we were exploring the surrounding area and stumbled on Higgins Heritage Park, might be interesting we thought! And it was – for $5 you can wander around this large complex full of interesting machinery and ‘stuff’.
Last weekend we went for a fly over Dunedin City.
